Getting Started

How do I create an account?

You can create a Rivplus account by clicking the “Sign Up” or “Login” button. You can sign up using your email address or connect through third-party authentication services like Google or Auth0. Once you complete the registration process, you’ll be able to access all of Rivplus’s features.

How do I customize my profile?

After creating your account, you can customize your profile by adding a profile picture, writing a bio, and setting your preferences. Visit your profile page and click on the edit button to update your information. You can also set your privacy preferences to control who can see your content.

What can I do on Rivplus?

Rivplus offers a variety of features including:

  • Discover trending movies and TV shows
  • Search for specific content
  • Create and share posts about entertainment
  • Bookmark movies and TV shows
  • Create and manage playlists
  • Follow other users and build your network
  • Rate and review content
  • Comment on posts and engage with the community

Discovering Content

How do I search for movies or TV shows?

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for movies, TV shows, actors, or directors. You can search by title, genre, or keywords. The search results will show relevant content with details like ratings, release dates, and where to watch.

How do I browse by genre?

Visit the Discover page to browse content by genre. You can filter by different genres like Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, and more. Each genre page shows trending and popular content in that category.

How do recommendations work?

Rivplus provides personalized recommendations based on your viewing history, bookmarks, ratings, and the content you interact with. The more you use Rivplus, the better our recommendations become. You can also see what’s trending among users you follow.

Social Features

How do I create a post?

To create a post, use the post creation interface on your home feed or profile page. You can write text, tag movies or TV shows, add images or GIFs, and include polls. Once you’re satisfied with your post, click the publish button to share it with your followers or the public, depending on your privacy settings.

How do I follow other users?

You can follow other users by visiting their profile and clicking the “Follow” button. When you follow someone, their posts will appear in your feed. You can also see who they follow and who follows them to discover new users with similar interests.

How do I interact with posts?

You can like, comment on, and share posts from other users. Click the like button to show appreciation, add a comment to join the conversation, or use the share button to share interesting posts with your own followers.

How do I manage my privacy settings?

Visit your account settings to manage your privacy preferences. You can control who can see your posts, who can follow you, and who can send you messages. You can also block users if needed.

Bookmarks & Playlists

How do I bookmark a movie or TV show?

When viewing a movie or TV show, click the bookmark button to save it to your bookmarks. You can access all your bookmarks from the Bookmarks page in your navigation menu. This helps you keep track of content you want to watch later.

How do I create a playlist?

You can create playlists to organize your favorite content. Go to your profile or the Playlists section, click “Create Playlist,” give it a name and description, and start adding movies or TV shows. You can make playlists public or private, and share them with other users.

Can I edit or delete my playlists?

Yes, you can edit your playlists at any time. Open the playlist and use the edit options to change the name, description, privacy settings, or content. You can also delete playlists you no longer need.

Account Management

How do I change my password?

If you signed up with email, you can change your password in your account settings under Security. If you signed up using a third-party service, you’ll need to change your password through that service’s settings.

How do I update my email address?

You can update your email address in your account settings. You may need to verify your new email address before the change takes effect.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account by going to your account settings and selecting the account deletion option. Please note that deleting your account is permanent and will remove all your data, including posts, bookmarks, and playlists. Some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Troubleshooting

I’m having trouble logging in

If you’re having trouble logging in, try the following:

  • Make sure you’re using the correct email address and password
  • Check if Caps Lock is enabled
  • Try resetting your password using the “Forgot Password” link
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try using a different browser or device

Content isn’t loading

If content isn’t loading properly, try:

  • Refreshing the page
  • Checking your internet connection
  • Clearing your browser cache
  • Disabling browser extensions that might interfere
  • Updating your browser to the latest version

I can’t upload images

If you’re having trouble uploading images, make sure:

  • The image file is in a supported format (JPG, PNG, GIF)
  • The file size is within the allowed limit
  • Your internet connection is stable
  • You have granted necessary permissions to your browser
